Try try try

me two 005I am going to try it again. I joined Camp Nanowrimo for April to write my novel. I am staying with the 50,000 words even though this challenge one can set any number of word count. I did get me a T-shirt for the challenge hoping it will be my “muse”. Hey anything helps. 🙂 I wonder if I need to wash it everyday…:)

Of course, I won’t wear it everyday.

After I took this picture, I chopped all my hair off. I guess I needed a change to write this novel. Or could it be I was bored with the long hair. Or really wanting that warm weather to show up.

I went back into my novel for the first time since January and ended up scrapping a whole chapter. It sounded really ridiculous. I have been doing research on writing a novel to get me more prepared. At least that is what I tell myself, though I think it is just another way to put off writing. 🙂

I am going to achieve this. It is my dream. I have wanted to write a novel since I was a teenager. I just got side tracked the last 25 years. I feel the timing is right. I just got to get past this block in the story. I know what I want to write, just need to put it all together somehow, some way. 🙂

Yes, I have a good feeling about this. Now if the sunshine and warmth would come out I could go write in other nice places without being trapped at my desk area. I think that would help.

I think the groundhog lied. 😦

  1. Hello, 2bC! I came here via Mary (comment above this one), and I have enjoyed myself as I’ve read your entire blog!! Don’t let my avatar fool you – that is my book character. I am older than you, and I have a 26-year old son. But we could be sisters!!

I wear my hair as you do, and I, too, recently chopped it off myself. I think the right side is about an inch shorter than the left side, and I have to have my driver’s license renewed this month. What possesses us to take scissors to our hair? I also totally related to your escapade at the Y on your first day. I refuse to take my butt anywhere public, and am trying, trying, trying to use my elliptical here at home to some benefit.

And don’t even get me started on NaNo. 🙂 I did NaNo for the first time last November, and it was a pain in the arse. I did manage to make the 50,000 words, but it was a struggle all month. Good wishes to you for success this month. I’ll be rooting for you, and yes, I would wear that t-shirt every day and only wash it once a week unless I got gravy or something on it.

I know you will reach your goals for your trilogy. It’s amazing what we can do when we enjoy what we are doing. I’m a new writer. I started writing out of the blue last year (silly, pink, fluffy, chick-lit), and didn’t know very much about writing or publishing. That didn’t stop me, and I just published my books anyway. It has been a blast even with so many ups and downs.

I hope you don’t mind I stopped in here and left such a long comment, but I just felt such a connection to you as I read your posts. Right down to the artwork on the envelopes (our son and I used to do this all the time), and the artwork from your boys.

So, in closing … it’s nice to meet you, and good luck with NaNo!!

    • I am so happy you did leave a nice long comment. Thank you so much. I love reading Mary’s blog. I like that she leaves comments as well. It is those little likes and comments from everyone that keep me writing. Thanks. 🙂

I admit I probably chopped a bit too much off of my hair but it is growing. I figured hot weather is coming so why not, at least I hope it is. 🙂 Congrats on NaNo, it definitely is difficult to do. I must say once I do sit down I do tend to write a lot at once so makes up for not writing every day. I had thought about dropping the word count down, but then its like I might as well go for it.

I did good about going to the Y last week but afraid I dropped out of groove this week, used the excuse of the cold weather again. I did walk on our treadmill a couple times here at home this week. I think because more people were there last week freaked me out a bit, so another excuse. I am determined to continue though. So you get on the elliptical as well! 🙂

I am going to head over to your blog. Thanks again and very nice meeting you. 🙂
