I was thrilled to see in my email that I was awarded the Liebster Blog Award today.

I had to look up what Liebster meant and this is what I found:
It is a German word meaning sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing, and welcome. It is an award given to highlight smaller, less known blogs with less than 200 followers. I also came across where some bloggers changed to more followers. I tried to stay with under 200 but most of the blogs I follow have more.
If you choose to accept the award, you may answer the 10 questions sent by the person who nominated you. I think it is a fun way to get to know one another. I completely understand if not all of you accept the award. I know bloggers are busy. I like the awards and I think it helps with finding other blogs to read.
Here are my 10 questions to answer from Dambreaker.
What is the most common thing you daydream about?
Oh, boy, I tend to daydream a lot. Don’t laugh, but recently, it has been me being on The Today Show and being interviewed for my published best seller! 🙂 One can dream. I think I would crap myself and not be able to go on.
- What is your top 3 short term goals in life (up to the next 10 years)
The first short term goal would have to be a job. I have been living the dream of staying home the last two years while hubby finishes the Army. I’m ready to work again. 🙂
The second, finish our house back home that is in my hometown. It is rather old and has been being remodeled for as long as I have been married to my hubby, 12 wonderful years. I’m ready for it to be done.
The third, make sure the two youngest boys graduate high school which I am sure they will. 🙂
- What would you say is your greatest personal achievement?
My greatest personal achievement would be receiving my Associate of Arts Degree, especially since it took ONLY fifteen years! 🙂 Hey, I wanted to take my time. 🙂
- If you could have one “super power” what would it be and why?
I think I would want to fly. 🙂 I could then fly anywhere in no time at all. Especially, if I wanted to spend time with a family member. Plus, the view would be awesome.
- If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I would love to live in a castle in Europe. I have just always been fascinated with castles.
- If you are having a Hollywood style party name your top five VIP guests:
Let’s see, my top five guests would be……
First, Pauley Perrette (NCIS) she is so cool, fun, and a bit weird. It would be interesting.
Second, Matthew McConaughey, well he is just so so so cute! 🙂 I love his voice.
Third, Jackie Collins, now she would add some zest to the group. Think of the conversations. 🙂
Fourth, Katy Perry. I love her songs and her outlandish style. She would have everyone up and dancing! 🙂
And the fifth one, Ellen DeGeneres, now what a party it would be. She would have all of us laughing. I love her generous nature and outlook on life.
Can you imagine her with Jackie Collins? 🙂
- If you could plan your last meal, what would you eat and/or drink?
It would have to be a buffet and a beer! I couldn’t just choose one type of food. I love simple foods, not gourmet stuff.
- What is your favorite smell?
I love lilacs! 🙂 It reminds me of spring time. It is calming and peaceful.
- If blogging was not available, what would you be doing in your spare time instead?
I would have to be still writing in journals. I still do a tiny bit but not as deep now that there is the blog community. I like the blog because you get feedback. A journal I keep to myself.
- When is your birthday?
It is almost here, Feb 3rd. I am in my early 40s! 🙂 I actually like the 40s.
I have come to the conclusion that your teens are for raising hell and annoying your family,
20s are for failing and trying to learn,
30s are realizing it is time to grow up and think about the future,
40s, is reflecting back on all that and saying, wow, if only I had not done that or said that,
50s will be back to having fun because the kids are out making those same mistakes and you can chuckle and say just wait. 🙂
60s, 70s, 80s, 90s…..enjoying my mature adult life with family and friends. Hopefully, healthy and happy. 🙂
