I decided to do the lighted Christmas Tree I have been seeing online. I needed to do something in order to plug the lights upstairs in so it seemed like a perfect solution! 🙂 I added some of the boys ornaments they made the last few years.
This is why I did the tree. To continue the plug to the outlet downstairs. 🙂
This year I did this wreath from Christmas cards I have received the last few years. I like to send them and receive them. I have a few that send letters and photos but I have not decided yet what to do with the photos. Next year I will expand on this wreath. Thinking of wood underneath. Pondering that thought.
Our lovely tree! Daylight and lighted. I love the twinkle of lights. We change the color of the tree every year. Last year was purple, this year browns. Thinking next year blues. 🙂
Random decorating!
I have a total of four trees this year.
Outside lights. Hopefully add a little more next year. I have more stored away but didn’t take the time to go through them.
Simple this year. 🙂
I love decorating for the holidays. It will be sad when the blinking lights have to be packed away. I do decorate a little for the other holidays just not as grand.
Our holiday family time consists of hubby, me, and the kids. The days of our bigger family getting together has passed for quite some time. It is sad, but understand with everyone’s busy lives and distance. I do look forward to when our kids begin having families and then once again the big family will get together. We have threatened them that this will happen. LOL.
Our family tradition is a big crockpot full of chili soup on Christmas Eve. My grandma always did that. She made oyster soup too but we don’t care for that. Then for Christmas dinner it varies every year. I am thinking lasagna this year! Yum! It is making me hungry thinking about it.
We usually open gifts on Christmas Eve that each other gives. We try to be simple about the gifts. It gets way too expensive otherwise. But there are fun gifts and even some jokes in the mix. 🙂
Then on Christmas morning the stockings are opened! Filled with one main gift and lots of goodies!
What are your family traditions?
