A Bit Annoyed

I don’t keep my payment method saved in WordPress because I really hate automatic renewals. Half the time the companies put the payment through before it is due which to me is wrong when I have a budget I follow. I don’t mind a couple days but I have had companies do a week to two weeks early. Upsets me. 🙁

I went to look at my blog on my computer this weekend and there was a blackened screen with a reminder that my WordPress premium was due in about ten days. Yes, I know, I got the email and have it saved and figured into my budget for the weekend before it is due.

I tried to dismiss it with the X and it would not go away. So I found the chat button to talk to support. They tried to say it was a problem with Explorer. Nope, it did it again with FireFox. Understand they are just trying to keep your site from expiring but it was wrong to block me from seeing my blog. I could move around the editing stuff but I like to look how my blog looks, plus I tend to use it more to reply to people.

I could see the blog on my phone but I like using the computer for writing and replying. To me WordPress doing this was denying me my already paid time for my blog. Heck, maybe I didn’t want to renew and you pretty much short changed me a week of my paid time. They are lucky that I like WordPress and don’t quit the premium part. 🙂

Anyone else have issues with companies that do that automatic payment? I don’t even like saving the payment info. I prefer to input it every time it is due. 🙂

        I remember I had the same trouble. I don’t mind the reminders, but I don’t like when you can’t get them to go away.

    Definitely not a fan of the automatic renewal with WordPress. I had an old blog that I forgot about and didn’t use anymore but $100 went out of my account to renew it – argh! Oh well. Lesson learnt.
