The more I look at the free account the madder I get. It’s changed that you can’t even put share buttons on, it use to be free for those. Everybody is money hungry. I do some marketing on other sites and because I don’t pay, they say it’s private and don’t show my site, use to. ugh. I’m more stubborn, I will enjoy without. ugh.

At least I can see all my media photos without having to wait to add them I can just scroll through them all, 10 years’ worth. 🙂

My blog is more about practice writing and ideas and meeting new people. My “drinking bar” so to speak. lol

Last weekend hubby and I went 4 hours west of here back to my hometown, where we met one another and where family and friends are at. It was fun. We hadn’t stayed in a hotel forever. I know weird thrills. lol Good talks and good food.

The best ever pizza at the local bar, Reload, my daughter use to work there and she would pile on the toppings for us. Well the pizza is still yummy and I can eat it without the fake teeth! lol

The friend’s son made us dinner on Saturday, real mashed potatoes, smothered steak, homemade gravy, and I had ate the green beans already. He went to cooking college and enjoys making food for fun.

I needed people interaction, friends. But to be honest, my friend has dated hubby’s brother the last 20 years, engaged but who knows if they will get married. Just a piece of paper, right? So family too. Best of both worlds.

Hubby cut up his impala for parts for his impala here in JC. From one junk car to the other junk car. lol He likes it. His brother and him like old cars and fixing them up.

We drove around a bit and was surprised to see our little town added a small store

This is the new one. Funny story. My friend said the wife, owns Family Dollar and Dollar Tree, the husband who owns Dollar General, and they got divorced and to compete with him, she built family dollar. lol Typical small-town drama. Hope they make it work. The town is only under 2000 now.

We have had this one, my ex-boss use to rent to this company when I worked there (20 years). Then, sadly he passed away, and they built up along the HI way. Smart, they were down where the original store was when I worked there in high school.

I moved back from college and worked there again. The other grocery store sold to the boss, and we moved to the bigger building. We used to have two grocery stores and several other stores, meat place, convenience stores, etc. Town died in the 80s when Haliburton moved out. Sad. So did businesses. Then super Walmart moved into a town north of us about 28 miles and businesses died even more. It was hard to compete. My old supervisor owns it now, we didn’t get to see him maybe next time. I made a lot of friends there and still have.

My friend who is engaged to hubby’s brother is one friend I use to work with at the store. She got smart and quit and went to nursing school. She’s doing great, 5 more years and retiring, she can’t wait. I’m jealous, she has been on so many cruises and trips. She did it right changing careers. She’s a people person, helps anyone, but not afraid to give her opinion. We had many a drunk nights and went to dances. Fun.

Fun memories.
