I am a mom of one daughter(26), son(23), son(15), son(14) and a wife to a retired Army/Navy man, now truck driver.
I have always wanted to be creative in every possible way.
I have had some classes but went to work full-time as a bookkeeper for the last sixteen years. In March 2012, I quit that job that had nothing to do with my dreams.
I began this blog to share in my achievements and disasters in whatever they may be. 🙂
I blog about anything. Be prepared. 🙂 I do try to stay away from politics. Enough of that on social media. 🙂
Happy reading and have a most wonderful day! 🙂
2017- The family has added a cute little boy, grandson, from oldest son and his wife, Cassie. 🙂 Yay! 🙂
Novels-
1 – Obeyville Snoop – Getting closer. It is a short novel.
You’re writing a novel, that’s not dabbling.
Keep up the good work enjoying, your creative blog. It was nice to see you on twitter as well ^^
Thank you. I hope I don’t run out of ideas. 🙂 I enjoy yours. I haven’t quite got the hang of twitter yet…lol
Hello! I nominated you for the Sunshine award here at my blog: http://spilledxink.wordpress.com/2013/05/11/sunshine-award/
Thank you so much! 🙂
Good luck on your novel! 🙂
Thank you. Editing is going to slow. The writing was fun, but editing, blah. 🙂
Just happened to run into your blog. You have got a beautiful space running here. Loved some of your write-ups. Its very subtle. I guess I will be hanging around here a lot. 🙂 Great work
Thank you. I love your poems. 🙂 I shall hang around yours. 🙂 Writing makes me feel good.
Just a reminder: Edit that book! Don’t be like me — I procrastinate lol. Get it done. The next time I visit your blog, I hope to hear that you edited the book, published it, and won an award. Remember, only you can make it happen. Keep it real, DBGB1986
LOL. Thank you. I am queen of procrastinate! lol I will do my best. Don’t know about the award thing, but I will give it a go! 🙂
According to your bio, your husband is in the Army. So let’s do this, as a motivator: If you edit your book and submit it to at least two literary agents (and show me proof of this) before March 1st, 2014 — if you do this, then I will donate $50 to any military charity of your husband’s choosing. Here’s to motivation! Danny P.S. Please thank him for his service, too!
Wow. Thanks. I am actually self-publishing. 🙂 I like to be in control. 🙂 I will tell him. He retires the end of Feb. My daughter is also in the Army Reserves. 🙂
Fine, then so long as you self-publish BEFORE the 1st day of March. Deal! (Also, thank your daughter for her service.)
I’ll give it a shot! 🙂 Thank you again. I will tell her.
I nominated you for the Liebster Award! You can check out the details here:

🙂 Can’t wait to see your book.
Thank you. 🙂
It’s a great blog you have here, and its nice to meet you – I will keep in touch with you.
Thank you. I like your blog! 🙂 I love to read as well. 🙂
Thank you! 🙂 Please do! 🙂
We have a lot I common. I see you’ve written among comments that editing is taking a very long time. I’m finding that to be the case myself! #AmEditing #ForeverApparently
hahaha. It helps to laugh about it. Or that’s what I tell myself.
I hope for both our sakes we publish our first novels very soon! 🙂
So happy to not be alone on editing. 🙂 I guess it is not completely bad, I have read it is good to break away and then come back with a new look. I envy those that can write several books in a year though. Sigh. Yes, laughter is good. I laugh a lot at my writing when I edit. 😉 I hope you publish soon as well! 🙂 Happy writing!
Great blog you have got here.
I am your newest follower!
Awesome to see you have a passion for writing.
Look forward to engaging with you soon.
Keep Winning.
Steve
Thank you! 🙂 I have checked out your blog and love all the motivation! Great job! 🙂
I would like to invite you to participate in a blog tour. If you accept, here is what you have to do:
1. Title your post “Writing Process Blog Tour”. Thank me for inviting you and link my blog somewhere in it. (I didn’t make these rules) 😉
2. Answer these questions:
What are you currently working on?
How does your work differ from others of its genre?
Why do you write what you do?
How does your writing process work?
3. Invite 1-5 authors to participate, hence the ‘blog tour’.
Let me know if you are up for it!
Here’s my link: http://kevs-domain.net/2014/06/28/writing-process-blog-tour-2/
What a great About Page! If you don’t me asking, what part of the US are you from? I’m here nestled in a military town of Colorado Springs. It’s so lovely out here and I never get tired of the big mountain here. If I drive 20 minutes, I’m literally at the foot of the mountain. 🙂
Junction City Kansas. And my hometown is Oberlin Kansas where we still own our home there. My hubby and I were married in Colorado Springs. Love that place.
Ahhh, that’s why you are familiar with the places I’ve been to or photographed. I’ll be going to the Sand Dunes soon, so be on the lookout for that. I also want to try some zip lining and motor biking. Too much to do around here!
Awesome!
Oh, one more thing. If you go to my profile page and go to my “links”, you’ll see a link called “My Personal blog!”. Click on that and request to follow my personal blog. I’ll let you access it. It’s only for good friends on WordPress. Let me know if you have any issues. It’s one of those “invitation only” private blogs. 🙂 See you there!
Thank you so much for visiting and following my blog. Following you as well, and am looking forward to reading more! God bless!
Thanks for finding my blog and following me 🙂
Thank you! 🙂
