The first room was a large room and we made it into 2 rooms, one a bedroom and a bonus room. I’ll have to take some pictures when we go back. Missed taking them when done. Find some regular picts?
The backyard when hubby and his brother put up the fence. The two houses are gone behind the fence. They finally tore down. The two photos with the insulation and junk is now inside and a laundry room. Will find those.
It’s a 100-year-old house, two houses put together. I believe it was a shop house before someone lived in it. In fact, as a kid walking by a man would sit in his chair and wave to me. Nice person. He later died in the house and someone else moved in and began to fix it. I don’t think I ever told the kids that. Shh.
The green room became the oldest kid, daughter, is the room below the fence picture above. Then it became the youngest son. Painted it for him. lol
You can see the finished fence up above with hubby, thinking.
The blue room is actually the covered carport and became the second kid, son’s room. Then after him the third kids got it. We tore up the carpet because it was very dirty and were planning on different covering. That’s the youngest grown now son. I think he was a sophomore in the picture?
It was the only room completely finished before we tore it up. lol
I have so many pictures to sort thru. I think that is why I get bored, we have always been busy remodeling.
I have so many stories that I want to tell. So many adventures I want to share and take readers along with me. This story, the story of 21 Champions, is my favorite of my ideas for many reasons. It’s the first idea I jotted on paper in college. It’s the first story I dreamed […]
I went back to a free blog. Of course, with everything going on, must save where we can. I’m sure hubby would still pay but things are just going up too much. I like to save especially since I can’t do my previous job without both typing hands. Sad face. Like that job working at home, just working is enough for me.
I like changing blog designs like I move my rooms around. 🙂
The stroke limits everything.
I am finding out free works better with editing the blogs for me. Maybe I didn’t understand the paid stuff, who knows. Seems faster also.
Well, have a great weekend and Happy Veterans Day to everyone!
Hubby getting tired of constructing for me. Don’t blame him, lol.
I brought my TBR books downstairs in my big bag. Only have what I am reading in the bedroom. Cleaning and organizing. At least that part of me is coming back just have to have help. Hubby, daughter, and Jessup usually help, if I can talk them into it. 🙂 It’s also a workout for my right stroke arm and walking.
Also, will have this room as exercising. There is already an arm and leg machine. I use it some. Once I get fully back to mostly normal move the treadmill will be back down there and my elliptical machine. I’m the only one that really uses the basement anymore. My two cats are down there, making some fun climbing stuff for them. 🙂
What I had in my hometown house, puzzle house as I like to call it.
We are going to remove them and recycle them somewhere for something. He did a great job on them, good wood.
A little clearer. Jessup is now 21! Boy time flies.
I can’t wait to get it out of the living room, though hubby might argue about this one. lol
Our making of the basement. We take a while, mostly money and time. 🙂
The cubby hole, old office, the making of it. Those are the daughter’s cats when she lived here. My old lounge chair, miss it, cats peed on it. Sad face. Can see my shelves have been every part of this basement. lol
This would be cool to have. ? All shelves. Can dream.
I ordered this off of Amazon to do floor exercises. It will also be a twin bed cover on our downstairs twin bed. We had to throw away the top mattress because cats peed on it. I was determined to get the smell out but hubby won to throw it away. I give in a lot post stroke time. lol So it is killing two birds with one stone, two functions so it saved us money. 🙂
It’s comfy. It does lay out flat and still comfy.
I want to get my arms and wrists flexible. It’s like being 90 years old when getting up. Really sucks. Nothing like going from 40s to 90s in warp speed.
I want to get into learning yoga. I feel it is a super soft yoga mat too. 🙂
One thing my butt has changed to being boney from being fat and cushy.
It definitely has been big changes in my life, I don’t wish it on anyone. Hopefully people will learn to take care of themselves from my experience. I’m lucky I have a wonderful hubby and great kids helping. My daughter and I have grown closer thru this.
We have been watching the granddaughter since mid-August because mommy is doing the army thing. It’s been fun but also tiring. I’ll miss her but be glad to get back to being grandparents and seeing her on an occasional weekend. I will really like seeing the daughter again and being able to text her. She is my bestest friend as her daughter likes to say. lol
I see why grandparents are not parents, couldn’t keep up with youngsters. I should have taken better care of myself. Listen young people so you will have better older years. 🙂
We made many fort blankets. Loved doing those as a kid.
She doesn’t eat well, so it was a challenge every day. She got fed interesting meals. Can’t wait till she is older. Her mom was a picky eater but a better eater and now she loves vegetables that I don’t. That makes me happy.
She does have quite the imagination and loves to sing her own lyrics.
We did the best we could to teach her to pick up. She has the bad habit of leaving a mess and I will be glad to have the house back to normal. Only picking up after hubby. lol
We didn’t do anything special since hubby works and I’m still recovering from my stroke. Still tired from that. Maybe next summer, I hope, but not four weeks straight. 🙂
I’ve been blogging for over 2 years now and it is no secret that I am addicted to blogging. What started off as a safe space for me to vent during the first lockdown has now become a passion that I can’t imagine ever giving up. I’ve met some wonderful bloggers from around the globe…
