Blog Reason

I am blogging on dates that are numbers divided by 3s, my favorite number.

It’s to keep a blogging schedule so when my second book gets done, I will put it on here regularly. I’m thinking of putting it on here to read because a few enjoy, and I don’t think others do and that is fine maybe they will start to like it and maybe I will become a better writer. Plus, I don’t write Big Books, just short ones. Kind of like a classroom. 🙂

It sucks that my stroke took my imagination. I have been trying to read more to get it back that’s why I don’t always remember names those are way out in left field to me.

The mind is a mystery.

i like this. pretty.

My daughter has wrote a book, coming out in March. So excited for her. She always wrote stories as a kid. I wish her all the luck that I didn’t have because I waited for so long to fill my dream. A procrastinator that I am but I did have fun.

A Mystical Murder

A Mystical Murder by Ashley King

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Another death at her b&b exciting. I didn’t get the murderer at all. I thought her hubby. Her visions are imperfect for sure but interesting. Her love interest is still in question, but I’d go for Andy. Something strange about Nick? Things are heating up on her mom being found. A good mystery and keeps me wanting to read the next one.

Stanley Pearl

Stanley Pearl: He’s out of his shell … by Maddie Cochere

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A new character and mystery. Stanley is a good person and can’t wait to see him change more. His change is exciting, and his ex-wife is too controlling. His new love is fun and think she is good for him. His son reminds me of my sons, they know more than I did at that age. I was not sure about his writing but glad to see it went the direction of being a comic, lol. I’ll read the next one. Great story.

Magical Midlife Madness

Magical Midlife Madness by K.F. Breene

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved this book. I have the paperback and will buy the next one. A midlife crisis for sure. But who expects magic to happen to you and from a house you have agreed to watch over. Nimah starts with getting her drunk and likes throwing rocks at people. She meets Austin who is handsome and takes care of her first drunk night. Her butler Mr. Tom is quite the caretaker. Lots of magic going on until she becomes one with the house and releases the magic to all that have helped her in this town that she remembers when she was little. When she finally releases the magic, it makes everyone youthful, they can do things like when they were young. At the end she sees a mysterious man on her property line because he doesn’t know what the house may do to him. Basically, he is saying see you soon.

New Exercise and Therapy

I got a pulley arm thingy to make arm exercise. Hubby has to figure out where to put it until I can put it over the door to use it. I love it, it will be a longtime use, forever arm exercise.

I got a hand massager, feels so nice and I think it will get my hand moving better and maybe faster.

I got a cool candle lighter; I have missed lighting them this makes it easy and safe to light. Yay.

A neat reading watch haven’t quite figured out. Anything reading is cool. Also, earrings and an ornament. Books. Favorite thing.

I also got a pretty necklace, but I need to get a chain that will go over my head until I can fasten the clasps. I miss my necklaces and earrings. Someday.

Stroke go away be just a memory.

A Weekend Getaway

2022 army family day

Friday: Hubby took off early since he had over 40 hours of work. He’s a work acholic like I use to be. He says if he stops working, he will go downhill. I don’t think so, but he will get bored. He rarely takes off except company days off. Mostly, why I want to get back to work so he can at least retire a bit, he deserves it. 🙂 I had planned on working again until the stroke happened. Both boys would be graduated so off to work for me didn’t care if it was fast food or not. Oh well.

When we got to the daughter’s town, we met her and Zozo at Dickey’s BBQ for supper. Love that place. Pulled pork, baked beans, mac and cheese, and roll. Afterwards said goodbye until the next day and went to the reserve center for lunch and games.

The daughter was one of the soldiers to get pie in the face, shaving creme and syrup. Hubby bid on her and got to throw it in her face. He got a pie in his face then, payback for when they were deployed together in 2012! It was funny.

Food was a yummy taco bar by friend Jason and pizza for extra. A ladies group made sweets for dessert. All good.

Zozo had fun with the kids climbing over everything. We were afraid she would fall and hit her head. Parent, old school. lol

The hotel has tall beds! Not for short people like me. lol They had cool reading lights. Made my day!

On the way back we went the other way and went to Barnes & Nobles. Hubby spoiled me, his Christmas gift to me. He got 3 books of his favorite series that he read when he was in the active-duty Navy before he met me. I’m rubbing off on him. lol

Pretty good group. 🙂 Daughter did good organizing the event. Got good remarks from her commander. She said she loves to work with her. I knew she was a leader growing up. 🙂
