We went to our Puzzle House on the other side of Kansas on Saturday after picking up the goofy daughter at her house. This tree was once a stick as high as my waist. I’m short. 🙂
We were always yelling at them while they were growing up to stay out of the tree because it could not hold them. Well, the last few years it has really shot up there and can now hold them. 🙂 Amazing.
Missing the oldest son, he is in the Navy and came home a week ago but had to go back.
The three lit off some fireworks after helping us with yard work and cleaning up some stuff at our grandma’s house down the street. So we have 3 houses in total to take care of. We enjoy it, just wish more time and more money to do the maintenance the way we want to. Little by little.
Came back on Sunday and I took the daughter and youngest to the Bret Michaels concert in the park. Free! Terrific concert! The kids enjoyed it.
They are now down at the carnival again. Hubby and I will venture down closer to firework show time. 🙂
That has been our 4th of July celebration. Simple, fun, and full of family time. 🙂
Hope everyone has had fun and stay safe! Cheers to freedom! 🙂
My own photo! 🙂
Courtesy of my cellphone and a new app I discovered, BeFunky App. Love it!
My hubby built me my very own Creative Cave in the basement. He also gave me his old table he used for building his big model airplanes. He had knocked over a bottle of strong glue onto the table last year. We tried lots of things to get it off but only accomplished most of it.
I pondered for months what I wanted to do to cover it up.
Throughout the year I had seen the square sheets in several stores and thought yes! We went to Menards tonight to get some other supplies for remodeling the basement and I caught a glimpse of these. I knew that was what I wanted to do. I bought only three sheets for now to see how it looked and what design I wanted to go with.
I like it! 😉
I will continue the pattern the rest of the way across the table. The sheets were 1.99 each. Cheap design idea plus no mess or smell. I like the bits of wood still in the areas I won’t cover up. I hope the corners will stay down if not I will find more duck tape! LOL 🙂
I like the feel of it too. It covered up a few splinter parts as well. It will be easier to clean than the wood since the wood is not stained or clear coated.
Sometimes one needs to ponder awhile. Me, it seems like it takes months! LOL
Hope you have a great weekend, I think we will! We are going to go to my hometown fair where our other home is at. 🙂
More work to do there. Sad thing is we have not made it back much this year so it is in major need of cleaning and work. 🙂 That is ok, we will get to have fun in the evening at the carnival. Home owned and operated by local volunteers. I hear they added two more rides! 🙂
I can not wait to have a funnel cake and a pork burger!!!!
