Purrfect

This is one of my daughter’s cats, Nocca. Think I spelled that right. 🙂 Daughter is at annual army training so we are watching her two cats.

I thought for sure that balloon was going to pop and send the cat in the air! LOL But it didn’t. Pets are rather entertaining.

On a sad note, one of our cats got out the front door when kids were opening it and we can’t find him. Heartbroken. Hopefully, he will find his way back. He is not an outdoor cat though. There are so many wooded areas around here and traffic. Worries us. We sure miss him.

Spring Time Changes

I have stayed busy and consistent with editing every day for Camp NaNo! Makes me feel great! 🙂 I know another edit will need to be done after this challenge because there are some boring holes to fill. Oops.

I feel confident! I am energized to get er done! 🙂

I updated my blog as you can see. I think I really like it. It is clean and easy to read. I can change the colors easy as well. The header proved a challenge with my blog title but I finally found one. I think I will make me some for the next update now that I have my Illustrator program back. I love that Adobe does monthly subscriptions now. Though it does stink to pay for one program for almost the same price for the whole set but my computer graphics card can’t handle it. I do need to learn lots more on Illustrator so that is ok. I do miss Photoshop but maybe once I can upgrade the graphics then I can get all the programs again.

I did something I thought I would never do, I deactivated Facebook. I thought if I am going to get my HUGE list of things done I better do it. I feel rather good about it. I doubt I am missed. I didn’t have much interaction from people. I will miss other people’s updates but I must get things done. It was easy to pass an hour or two reading everyone’s. LOL.

I can hear “Lazy” the cat meowing so I better get out of the Creative Cave and give him some attention! I don’t allow the cats in here and it bothers them. Too much to knock over and “Emobear” loves to chew on PAPER! Go figure! LOL. My tummy is growling.

Have a splendid week!

Question? Do you plan, or are you flying by the seat of your pants?

2012

Half plan, half fly! 🙂

There are certain things I plan and other things I do not. I don’t like to plan everything cause things happen and I don’t want to be disappointed.

2014

2015

A little of both. Plan the bigger things as much as possible. Day to day can be flying by the seat of my pants. 🙂

Hubby was home, enough said. 🙂 He makes me smile and laugh. The boys enjoy him picking on them and that’s fun to watch.

Pondering or Procrastination…who cares!

Obeyville-Snoop-Book-Cover-1 I am back to editing and writing!

I think I pondered enough, seven months worth! 🙂 Or was it procrastination? Either way it felt good to write again today. I like my first chapter for the first time in the three years I began this quest. 🙂 I think that is a good sign and I will run with it. Good vibes! 🙂

I need to adjust my type on the cover but currently I do not have the software to do so. I do like the cover for the most part but I think I need to ponder it some more. 🙂 LOL

I do believe unless I get very windy at the end of the book it will become a novella. I think that is more my calling than a lengthy novel. Time will tell. 🙂

laughing_kitten Just had to insert this funny cat laughing. It shows the mood I am in and when I am in a good mood the words flow! 🙂 Plus, who can resist a cute cat. Ok, don’t answer that.

smile bookNow for some fun passages from the first chapter to get you thinking about the book. Hopefully. 🙂

“The memories I have with my friends sliding down the steep creek bank zooming across the frozen water to the other side were the best times.”

“I enjoy finding new things to sell especially at garage sales. I blame my mom for that one, she started me young going to those. One person’s tosses is another person’s treasures, she loves to say.”

“On the left side of the path I could see the old crooked tree that we loved to play truth, dare, or double dare around. We nicknamed it the Love Tree.”

“I could drop to the ground and hide among the tall grasses. Sting weed and snakes. I do not like that combination.”

“My head thumped the hard ground and the world went dark.”

Stay tuned! 🙂

The adventure begins! 🙂

Back In The Groove…I Think

Lazy found his spot This is Lazy.

I decided to rearrange my living room. I had not done that in quite awhile. Normally, I do it about each season. As soon as I positioned the couch and folded the blanket Lazy perched himself on the blanket. He is a goofy cat.

Then he decided he needed to lay on my son’s school binder.

Lazy and EmoBear sitting on binder

He doesn’t seem to mind that he is almost too big for it. 🙂

The grey cat is Emobear. He just finished scratching my green coat.

Here is our third cat, Ninja. She is enjoying the new toy I got them. The feathers are about gone already.

Ninja and toy

Yes, I let all three boys talk me into the cats about three years ago. They have definitely been fun to have.

I could do without the cat hair, but who couldn’t.  Lint rollers have become my new best friend.

The cats have been the highlight of my summer. We really did not do anything interesting this year. Not one camping trip. I am sad. I guess a goal to shoot for next summer.

The boys began school last week. YAY! Back to a routine, that is what I like. Plus, it makes life more interesting. 🙂

The school changed their hours to earlier start time and I am amazed the boys have adapted well.

I am not a morning person but I must say I have become more of one in the last few years. I never thought that would happen. 🙂

I hope everyone had a great summer. We did even though no big adventures. I guess we will have to make up for it this fall.

Did you have any adventures?

The beginning of school means back to routine and back to writing regularly! I will be blogging more!

Journal June 22-28th

summer fun 015 My five year journal.

June 22

Question? What’s the last movie you saw in a theater?

2012

None.

2013

Dang, I must have been really boycotting the theater, none again.

2014

Yay, a movie! Just last night hubby and I went to see A Million Ways to Die in the West. Funny but very adult humor. Good date with the hubby.

June 23

Question? When was the last time you cried?

2012

This week, my dad died from cancer. I had not seen him since 2009. My hubby and daughter are deployed so I am really alone for a shoulder to cry on. My younger boys are here but they didn’t really know him that well. He was a grandpa and dad that popped in usually around the holidays or when he needed a place to stay. I sure miss him though.

2013

I assume no crying! 🙂

2014

Heck, I cry all the time. Dang hormones. My eyes even water when I laugh. 🙂 Otherwise, nothing bad has happened in awhile. Thank goodness. 🙂

June 24

Question? What’s your next social engagement?

2012

I have no social life.

2013

Still no social life. But that is ok. I have my kids and hubby.

2014

Does meeting with the realtor count as a social thing? LOL If so, that is next Tuesday. I am excited to look at houses. We need more space.

cat_059 (Photo credit to Bing.com. Looks like Lazy one of our cats.)

June 25

Question? Who is your closest companion?

2012

The cats right now until the hubby is home from being deployed. LOL. Boys are usually hanging with their friends which is good. No close friend or family. I am a hermit so to speak. Just me and my books. 🙂

2013

Maybe I was enjoying a companion and forgot to write. 🙂

2014

I would say the cats. They are always wanting my attention. Hubby is on the road and not home much. Boys stay busy with friends and games.

June 26

Question? What’s your biggest indulgence?

2012

Pepsi everyday! I love books and computer stuff. I love art supplies. I’m a sucker for art supplies. 🙂

2013

Must have been busy indulging. 🙂

2014

Food! I love food! Eating out is our entertainment. Next would be books and art stuff. I am cutting back on Pepsi but do enjoy it. 🙂

June 27

Question? When was the last time you ate pizza? What kind?

2012

Pizza Hut with the boys this month. Pepperoni is our favorite. 🙂

2013

I was busy eating pizza. 🙂

2014

Last Saturday night. It is usually a weekly thing. I eat hamburger so Jessup can have his favorite. The others eat pepperoni. 🙂

June 28

Question? If your mood were a weather forecast, you’d be _______.

2012

Gloomy with no chance of sunshine. Hubby and daughter deployed.

2013

I bet I was enjoying the weather. 🙂

2014

Mostly sunny with a bit of clouds because hubby is on the road currently.

Meet the New Roomie!

10314625_10152176971287483_7321706374950133809_n Here is Buddy! 🙂

My hubby found this cute little guy on a truck stop parking lot. He was afraid he would get ran over so he became our pet. He was hubby’s buddy for a week or so until he came home.

The kids love him and so do the cats!

IMG_20140525_185436 Lazy is very curious about him. 🙂

It is fun to watch him move around his home. One part is pebble and the other half is shallow water. My youngest picked out the SpongeBob house.

My family loves SpongeBob. 🙂

I am thinking we need to find a rock or big twig so he can climb on it. He was stuck on his house for a day. We would put him down and he would be right back up there. 🙂

The cats love watching him and will sit on the ledge by the tank. It makes for fun entertainment.

Hubby is thinking he is a Wood Turtle. We plan on keeping him as long as he is happy. Eventually, he will need a bigger home which will hopefully be in our backyard with a small pond.

Pets are so fun.

Buddy is definitely an easy one to take care of and low noise! 🙂
