Rearranging The Book Library AGAIN

My bookshelves have been moved so many times. But I do believe this is the last time. I like it here and I’m going to add more shelves and make it be a library. The shelves don’t match but I will use what I have. It was too dark in the corner and little space. I have lots of Harlequin novels yet to move. The daughter helped with this. I’ll show when I have it done. Hopefully in a few weeks.

Hubby getting tired of constructing for me. Don’t blame him, lol.

I brought my TBR books downstairs in my big bag. Only have what I am reading in the bedroom. Cleaning and organizing. At least that part of me is coming back just have to have help. Hubby, daughter, and Jessup usually help, if I can talk them into it. ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s also a workout for my right stroke arm and walking.

Also, will have this room as exercising. There is already an arm and leg machine. I use it some. Once I get fully back to mostly normal move the treadmill will be back down there and my elliptical machine. I’m the only one that really uses the basement anymore. My two cats are down there, making some fun climbing stuff for them. ๐Ÿ™‚

What I had in my hometown house, puzzle house as I like to call it.

We are going to remove them and recycle them somewhere for something. He did a great job on them, good wood.

A little clearer. Jessup is now 21! Boy time flies.

This was my holder of books, got hubby and Jessup to take it off the wall and bring it to the ‘library’ to be used. I don’t know how yet. I do have more books to put back on it. Thinking?

I have all my college books on here, old desk. Thinking of getting rid of it. It was hubby’s when we met so lots of use. Thinking?

Can’t wait to get it out of our room, means I’m all better. ๐Ÿ™‚ But I will keep using it.

I can’t wait to get it out of the living room, though hubby might argue about this one. lol

Our making of the basement. We take a while, mostly money and time. ๐Ÿ™‚

The cubby hole, old office, the making of it. Those are the daughter’s cats when she lived here. My old lounge chair, miss it, cats peed on it. Sad face. Can see my shelves have been every part of this basement. lol

This would be cool to have. ? All shelves. Can dream.

My first reading novel, I think

I believe this was my first reading novel in grade school that got me hooked on reading bigger books. I ordered it and thought I would see. I remember it being a red bound with no cover in our school library. Long ago so I’m not sure. Then I started reading V.C.Andrews novels. My Sweet Audrina was the first. I have most of the paperbacks. I remember reading Sweet Valley High novels as well.

Oh the memories. I also like Phyllis A. Whitney.

I’m one to pick catchy covers so surprised I chose one without the cover. I mostly read hardcover but since my budget is small I choose more paperback now. Of course ebook ๐Ÿ™‚

My to read pile recently.
My library currently. Most I bought years back when I belonged to subscriptions.
Funny thing I have Danielle Steele books and haven’t read one yet, lol

I bought for future old age. lol

My college books. I kept most.

We might be going back to our old house this weekend and I will bring back all my books there.

Many harliquin novels, classic editions, etc Once I counted over 700 books. Miss my shelves there.

Oberlin house, my first house I bought for 5,000. Then met hubby and construction began but we didn’t have much money, and living in it. Originally a two bedroom, 1 small bath, 1 small kitchen, and living room for 6 of us. Cozy. ๐Ÿ™‚ Now bigger kitchen, upstairs loft (bedroom) unfinished room, 3 bedrooms, laundry, living room, and unfinished 2nd bath, 1 small bonus room. Hence we call it the Puzzle house. I have a tab for it if you want to look.

Messy house still but less stuff. No current picts.

Books, Shelves, and More

My current books on one lonely shelf. ๐Ÿ™‚

This wall will sometime in the future be my rows of shelves for my books. I have not brought all my books from the Puzzle House yet. I am waiting until this is done so we don’t have to work around them. I have well over 1000 books. A few years ago I cataloged all but the paperback Harlequin novels on a phone app. I lost the app when I changed phones.

Bummer. I will catalog again one day. ๐Ÿ™‚

I don’t think I will bring the Harlequin novels here, thinking I will keep them at the Puzzle House. After all, need books there too!

This is my library at the Puzzle House. I miss those shelves. Hubby did a great job making them. Once all the books are off I need to sand and put a clear coat on so I can actually dust them. It is rather difficult dusting right now because the cloth sticks to the shelve. I didn’t sand only painted. I’m thinking of doing some wire doors in areas of the shelves. I think that will be neat looking.

Currently this room was our master bedroom. We are now going to make it our living, library, storage closet (to the left there which was my walk-in closet) and TV room. ๐Ÿ™‚

My favorite collection is my V.C. Andrews novels. I am behind on buying them and way behind on reading the new ones. ๐Ÿ™‚ I first read My Sweet Audrina in Jr. High. I was hooked. I have only read this one and the Flowers in the Attic series. Yes, I am way behind on reading all the other series. I kept buying them because I knew I would read them someday. I think that day is coming.

Do you buy collections or series?

My Current Read

image

I discovered this author a few years ago when I went to the library. I love her writing. Simple, fun, and mysterious. She has wrote a ton of books. It will take me forever to read them all because I like to mix up my authors since there are many good ones.

This year I am going to read both ebooks and the good ole hand around the book. Last year I read mostly ebooks because there are many new authors and I couldn’t stop downloading them.

I didn’t make my reading goal last year but I have a good feeling that I will this year.

Happy reading everyone.
