Distractions or Procrastination

I can waste hours upon hours of each day by logging on to social media. I have liked so many pages from books to health that reading the articles takes my entire day once I get started.

Sigh.

Each day I try not to. I make lists, I make schedule times, and I still log in and browse around endlessly. I have also set timing on my phone, while it helps to a certain point, I still go on.

I do not have a timer on the desktop, so I browse the internet A LOT!

I say every day that I am going to do better tomorrow and then I repeat the mistakes of the day before. I am a creature of habit. I need to figure out how to stop the repetition.

I want to get back to reading books, drawing, drafting my stories, and exercising. Oh, I love to learn as well. I used to watch videos and take free courses. I miss all that.

Got to break the habits!

I need to practice in Word! OMG, I have screwed this up several times.

I decided to do Word because I miss the spelling check and the grammar check in WordPress. I will then copy it over to my blog. I hate the writing tool there anymore.

My editor score right now is 69% Crap!

Shaking my head.

I hate this block crap.

Today I did go through my many emails of blogs I follow. I am going to put on my list to read them more often than every few months. Lists again! LOL

How many of you do lists? Do you follow? I think I just like making them. 🙂

Non-Productive Almost Productive

February 4th, 2018
Well, January flew by fairly quickly. Though it feels like the last two decades have flown. I begin each month with a BIG list of things to get done. Normally, accomplish half if I’m lucky. January stayed with the normal accomplishments. I’m a little disappointed but I will once again make that list for February and begin again. I think I’m addicted to lists. 🙂

I didn’t finish reading any books, sigh. Read, but it was mostly articles. Too bad those don’t count on GoodReads. 🙂 I did buy two books thanks to the youngest son wanting his comic books. At least he is reading. Wish I could get his brother to read. Sigh.

February is here and I celebrated another birthday. The youngest made me a vanilla cake. I did not once get up and help him. I wanted to but he has to learn on his own. He has made several now. Hubby, Jessup, and Adric helped me celebrate. Daughter posted some nice pictures with some wonderful words. 🙂 She should be writing. She is good at it. The oldest son I didn’t hear from but he is out to sea (Navy) so I will forgive him. LOL.

I did get lazy this week and we ate out a lot. I figured my birthday week so why not. I do feel sluggish so back to cooking this week.

Spring Time Changes

I have stayed busy and consistent with editing every day for Camp NaNo! Makes me feel great! 🙂 I know another edit will need to be done after this challenge because there are some boring holes to fill. Oops.

I feel confident! I am energized to get er done! 🙂

I updated my blog as you can see. I think I really like it. It is clean and easy to read. I can change the colors easy as well. The header proved a challenge with my blog title but I finally found one. I think I will make me some for the next update now that I have my Illustrator program back. I love that Adobe does monthly subscriptions now. Though it does stink to pay for one program for almost the same price for the whole set but my computer graphics card can’t handle it. I do need to learn lots more on Illustrator so that is ok. I do miss Photoshop but maybe once I can upgrade the graphics then I can get all the programs again.

I did something I thought I would never do, I deactivated Facebook. I thought if I am going to get my HUGE list of things done I better do it. I feel rather good about it. I doubt I am missed. I didn’t have much interaction from people. I will miss other people’s updates but I must get things done. It was easy to pass an hour or two reading everyone’s. LOL.

I can hear “Lazy” the cat meowing so I better get out of the Creative Cave and give him some attention! I don’t allow the cats in here and it bothers them. Too much to knock over and “Emobear” loves to chew on PAPER! Go figure! LOL. My tummy is growling.
