A day that will live infamy….
I want to thank all those that served during that horrible attack and remember those that lost their lives.
I was blessed to be able to see this Memorial in 2003 with my two older kids, Farra and Shay. We went to go see my hubby who was currently stationed there for nine months with the Navy. It was an opportunity we couldn’t pass up. I have to tell you it was my very first plane ride! Talk about taking one of the longest ones first. 🙂
We were able to see the Missouri ship as well. We found out later that my brother served on that ship in the first Gulf War and that hubby was on the other ship that “accidentally” shot the Missouri. Small world! 🙂 Of course, I didn’t know hubby then. It sure makes a fun story to tell.
The picture above is of my two kiddos. Excuse the poor quality. I was still using that ancient relic of a cheap 35mm camera with film. 🙂
Once again, thank you for those who served and to those who lost their lives on that day in 1941. You are not forgotten.
