Unhinged the Movie

The daughter and I went to the movies on Sunday early afternoon. We loved getting to watch a movie at a theater again! 🙂 Our theater is a family owned one, they do own several in our state, but still small. So since June they could only show old movies. I wanted to go to a few but didn’t work out. Summer time we don’t always get to the movies but do like going all the other months. We probably see one every month or two months. Love the theater and I really hope they survive this virus. I’m not one to download movies. We did watch one and can’t even remember the title, it was a Disney one. I would rather go to a big screen to watch a movie.

We watched Unhinged! Oh, it was good. All about road rage and it is a scary thought that it could and probably does happen. Russell Crowe was soooo good in it! He was evil to the core! If you like movies definitely see this one!

I loved eating popcorn from the theater! Yum. We had only 4 others in the theater so it was like having our own viewing. The older lady behind us yelled yes at one point of the movie and it was funny but we were thinking it too! 🙂

We are definitely going to go to more movies! The daughter and son are going to see one next week while I watch the granddaughter! 🙂

I do have to say it was strange not having more people in the theater including employees. Sad. But hopefully it will improve.

Save the theaters! 🙂

Time is Flying!

A fun image to the blog post. 🙂

I stayed up late last night, like tonight, and went through a few CD’s of digital pictures. It was fun reliving the memories. It is hard to believe how fast time goes by. I think this year is flown by already. I remember as a kid, thinking boy time is slow, and then adults saying wait until you begin to be an adult. Boy, they weren’t kidding.

I took the middle son to get his driving permit today. He passed! Now, the fun of teaching him. I’ve been putting that off because it’s a scary thought. LOL  Mostly, because of how crazy other drivers drive. When the other two kids learned we were in a very small town so it was not as nerve wrecking as being in the bigger city. I could not even imagine teaching somewhere as big as Kansas City, etc.

I held off on the middle son, he is almost 16, because I felt he wasn’t ready. He did have a couple not so good grades so I wanted him to get those up first. He was pretty excited when he passed, grinning ear to ear.  🙂

The youngest son keeps harping to get his, which he will end up with a year before middle son. I have to admit the youngest scares the heck out of me, he likes speed. LOL He does get good grades so I imagine within the next month we will let him get his permit. He will be 15 in a few months. Crazy to have two at once learning. At least the two older ones there was a nice three-year gap between them.  🙂

I hope I can be relaxed and not let my back seat driving come out during all this. LOL

I actually got my permit at 14 and took driver’s education. It was fun and cheap back then. I learned a bit before I was legal too. Don’t tell anyone.  😉

Growing up in a small town has its advantages when you have friends who are farmer kids. Many times we would go out on country roads and they would teach me how to drive. I even learned with a stick shift, but I do suck at those. I kill it a lot.  🙂

Memories are grand!  🙂

Do you have any fun stories from learning to drive?

Oh, dear fridge!

941024_10151474135762483_1243253880_nI spent the past weekend in my hometown where we own a house. My teenage son who is done with college for the semester is going to be living in our house during the summer. I cleaned the fridge, which was pretty empty, and took a picture to prove it is clean because knowing him, it won’t last long.  🙂 I don’t want to hear, it wasn’t cleaned before I had it. Any of you hear that before? LOL…so I have proof!

He is kind of a messy boy. I was hoping college dorm living would have changed that a bit, but so far it didn’t. I thought maybe having to trip over his own stuff and mom not there to pick up would help a bit to make him clean. NOT.  I am a bit nervous because I already have one place to clean and then if he doesn’t pick up after himself I will have to clean that place as well.  I do love him, but gosh eighteen years of cleaning up after him is long enough.  🙂 We joke around that he is going to need to either be rich and hire a maid or marry someone who loves to pick up after him. In this day and age where women are career oriented, he needs to be rich!

I suppose part of his messiness is my fault, I would get tired of looking at it and just clean it when he was growing up. It was easier that way. I did that with the daughter as well and she is doing alright with her cleaning. Do you think I have learned with the two younger ones? Nah, I still clean their rooms. I do make them clean here and there more than I did with the other two though. I guess there is hope for me so quite possibly hope for a clean fridge at the end of the summer. Hmmm….I’ll post a picture at the end of summer.
